LATITUDE? Home Monitory System

You have several options when it comes to connecting your LATITUDE Communicator. Here, you’ll find simple instructions to set up using a phone line, cellular data network or internet connection.

Connection Options

Your LATITUDE Communicator is designed to operate on standard phone lines like those that are in most people’s homes. It may work on other telephone systems, like a digital subscriber line (DSL) and voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), if they have a phone jack.

If you don’t have a landline, or if your landline does not work with the Communicator, there are other connection methods available. You only need one kind of connection.

Alternatives to a standard phone line:

  1. LATITUDE USB Ethernet Adapter* (uses an internet connection)
  2. LATITUDE USB Cellular Adapter* (uses a cellular data network)
  3. LATITUDE Wireless Internet Adapter* (uses an internet connection)

*Optional connection accessories are available separately. Contact LATITUDE Patient Services at (866) 484-3268 for details.

Which Connection Method is Best For Me?

USB Ethernet Adapter

(uses an internet connection)

The LATITUDE USB Ethernet Adapter is a good option if you have a high-speed internet connection and spend a good amount of time in the room where your modem or router is located.

This is a good option in areas without reliable cellular coverage.

USB Cellular Adapter

(uses a cellular data network)

The LATITUDE USB Cellular Adapter is a good option if you travel. It provides simple setup in whatever room you prefer.

It does not use your personal cell phone and has everything needed to send in your data.

Wireless Internet Adapter

(uses an internet connection)

The LATITUDE Wireless Internet Adapter is a good option if you have a high-speed internet connection but don’t spend much time in the room where your internet modem or router is located.

It allows you to have the Communicator up to 100 feet away from your internet modem or router.
